I created the Speckle Study socks to accompany my May release of limited edition sock yarn, Soul. I’m delighted to offer this pattern to you for free.
Speckled yarns are my favourite to dye and I’ve always been fascinated by the way their colours settle and shift as they’re knitted into fabric. I designed these simple textured socks as a gift for my fellow speckle-lovers: a relaxed knit where each pair becomes it’s own small study in colour.
These socks are knit cuff down with a heel flap and gusset. The pattern can be worked with any needle configuration.
Sizes: small, medium, large
Gauge: 32st = 10cm
Needles: 2.25mm long circular, short circular or DPNs
Yarns: Main colour: Elizabeth Pawle sock yarn in Soul. Contrast yarn: Lang Yarns Jawoll superwash 75/25 in neon yellow 313
