I created the Zap socks to accompany my May release of limited edition sock yarn, Pop. I’m delighted to offer this pattern to you for free.
I designed the Zap socks with a head full of pop music at the start of summer as a celebration of all that is happy and good in the world. Bold and bright, their simple textured motif travels across the socks like tiny lightning bolts to give a design that’s relaxing to knit in the garden, poolside or wherever your summer takes you. Knit yourself a pair and rediscover your spark!
These socks are knit cuff down with a heel flap and gusset. The pattern can be worked with any needle configuration.
Size: medium (8”)
Gauge: 32st = 10cm
Needles: 2.25mm long circular, short circular or DPNs
Yarns: Main colour: Elizabeth Pawle sock yarn in Pop. Contrast yarn: The Dye Shack sock in Dyno-Rod Orange
